It's finally here. Burger lovers rejoice. Uptown Burger Bar is opening in South County Commons on Thursday, August 10 and we burger lovers at Swipe for a Cause couldn't be more excited.
Uptown Burger Bar offers everything you ever dreamed of putting on a burger...and more. Its menu includes a fig and onion burger, a pineapple and avocado Hawaiian burger, a grilled peach and bacon burger. For the more adventuresome, there is even a peanut butter and jelly bacon burger. Tasting is believing.
For those of you with more traditional burger needs, you can always use the make-your-own menu option. There is nothing shameful about being a burger purist.
Owner Gregory Stevens is particularly excited about his burgers, as chances are, you have never tasted anything like them.
And these are burgers that you can actually feel good about eating. Uptown Burger Bar only uses beef that is all natural and from humanely raised cattle. All their produce is local or hydroponically grown with absolutely no pesticides. All their disposables are from vegetable strands. All their plastic is designed to decompose within 3 years. And all Uptown Burger Bar's oil will be recycled with no waste.
Uptown Burger will also offer craft beer, soda, shakes and yolato.
Although this is Gregory Steven's first burger restaurant, it is certainly not his first venture. He also currently owns Frankie's Italian Bistro in North Kingstown and Pat's Italian Restaurant in Johnston.
But this is a different kind of venture for Steven's as he hopes to expand this new burger restaurant concept across the country. Having grown up in Rhode Island he wanted the flagship restaurant to be in his home state, but he plans on it quickly passing over the borders and is already looking for interested franchisees. Stevens has said that Uptown Burgers "was a long time coming and the experience has taught me many things." He plans on using his experience to help others to open locations and "be with them every step of the way".
Powerful Integrated Point of Sale
Uptown Burger Bar is also Rhode Island's first cashless restaurant. His point-of-sale is integrated with online ordering, mobile pay options, a downloadable app, and a self-ordering kiosk. Behind it all, the Swipe for a Cause team is proud to be onboard to get Greg paid securely and quickly so he can keep those burgers coming. Which also means that every time you eat at Uptown Burger Bar, a portion of that sale goes to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island.
Burgers like you've never had before, inspired toppings, strictly followed environmental practices and every sale supports an incredible cause.
This is a burger experience like no other. Go see why very soon we'll all be saying "and it all started in here in Rhode Island."
